Spring Soirée 2023.
A Beautiful Event and a Successful Fundraiser
We hosted our 10th annual Spring Soirée event on April 20th, 2023 at Claremont Country Club. Twenty-three very generous ateliers and shops donated 25% of their proceeds, totaling $100,000, to ground-breaking cancer research at its earliest stages.
The lounge and dining room at Claremont Country Club were a confection of balloons, flowers, party dresses, neon and girl-rock music. Over 200 guests enjoyed sweets from Sprinkles and Eleni’s New York, while VIP attendees received amazing VIP shopping totes filled with samples from Edible East Bay Magazine, Christina Maybaum Gallery, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Ghirardelli, Olfacterie Candles and more.
Teresa Baum and Sara Cumbelich chaired the event, along with their amazing committees, including vendor chairs, Blair Paige and Betsy Lalli, raffle chair Lisa Sauer, décor chairs Kelly Winniford and Rebecca Heywood and volunteer chair Beth Wiesbrock. April Shalev, who chaired the VIP committee, will be the chair of next year’s Spring Soiree ’24.
“I’m thrilled to see our community so generously come together for a common purpose,” said Teresa Baum, event co-chair. “Whether a common or rare type, cancer touches all of our lives, which is why we are honored to support early-stage, cutting-edge cancer research that truly makes an impact on treatment and patient therapies.”
The Carol Ann Read Breast Health Center sponsored the event, along with Lisa Settlemier and Samantha Furstein.
